Sage and her siblings- Orion, Sterling, Lyric, & Atlas- were discovered in an old storage shed on a family property where their mother had not been seen in three days. The neighbor's dogs across the creek had been loose, and momma simply vanished after they were spotted. The family could not take care of five, 3.5 week old kittens, so we reached out to help.
Tiny, full of parasites and an insatiable desire to live, Sage and her brothers and sisters settled quickly in to bottle feeding and were soon sleeping 3-4 hours at a time. It was a huge milestone.
Sage looks just like her twin brother, Sterling. They are very hard to tell apart, on he surface. But Sage was hardest hit with parasites, and she struggled hard to keep up with her brother. For a few days, we wondered if she had the strength to make it. Then, she surprised us all one day by pouncing on her siblings in a sneak attack! From that moment forward, we knew she was a fighter.
