The Humans Behind A Healed Cat

The human engine behind A Healed Cat, I have been a self-proclaimed crazy cat lady since 9 years old. The first kitten in my care passed suddenly at 5 months old from a hole in his heart before my 10th birthday, and I have been on a quest for feline and human health ever since. Conventional medicine left so many more questions than answers for decades, so eventually I made the shift to raise the beings in my care in the most pain/fear/and toxin-free ways possible. This journey has been full of ridicule, confusion, frustration, and borderline despair. Making the decision to take responsibility for my cats' health was a very heavy one. But also, the most rewarding. I learned how to lean in to their needs, to honor their bodies more than my own heartbreak.

The desire of my heart now is to share with you the relevant parts of this journey to support you and yours- so that you do not have to make the years of mistakes and following short-sighted, commerce-driven narratives that I did before realizing the truth of our being-ness. We are all electromagnetic (vibrational) beings. Care begins from the inside out, not the other way around.

Their Story- The Cats & Kittens Who Brought Us Here Today

In the beginning, we weren't always attuned to their needs. It was more about loss prevention than quality of life. ANYTHING to keep them alive., no matter how the cats actually felt about what we were doing to them. Their lives diminished no matter what we tried. It wasn't working, and we were all exhausted.

But through their unconditional love and patience, they taught us little by little to trust our true selves, to not ignore the gut feelings within. Our impulses to try certain vitamin formulas, novel proteins, even plants- these ideas would eventually shape in to life-saving elixirs and supportive meals for the most immuno-compromised kitten family we had ever cared for.

There were many, many instances where conventional veternarians told me I was running a hospice- that advanced FIV, FIP, FeLV cats being tossed in my yard were hopeless causes. And that was all in just one year. In 2011 alone I would bury over 4o cats and kittens from these illnesses- most all dumped in my yard in rural South Carolina.

It was a gut-wrenching journey at many times. But 2019 was the tipping point. I wanted to badly to prevent an extended cat family's early transition by buying expensive chemical injections to save them from wet and dry FIP. After all, these shots were the only "cure" the "experts" were discussing. But it was not an option. A 12.00 an hour job with 2 kids and as many FIP cats to care for wasn't going to cut it. The Warriors FB group demanded a 3K drug deposit I did not have. I had had enough. It was time to be fully responsible for these little ones, and no longer exclusively rely on the "experts" to save us. These cats had so much wisdom to share, and I realized I hadn't been connecting with it.

Marco- the adult cat pictured left just hours before his transition- was never supposed to have been born. His mother Sabrina was given 2 weeks to live with wet and dry FIP, so the vet refused to spay her. 6 months later, Marco was born. He lived 5 full years with TWO FIP parents, and FeLV and FCV. No drugs. We had finally cracked the code. These are the heartfelt insights we share here today.
